I work primarily in the Philosophy of Art and Aesthetics, especially within 20th century European Philosophy. My dissertation focused on the relation between art and community, particularly this relation as it is discussed by Immanuel Kant, Martin Heidegger, and Hannah Arendt.
Here is a profile about some of my work, written by The Humanities Institute at UCSC.
I am actively working on two post dissertation projects. One discusses Arendt, Kant, and Feminist Philosophy, while the other focuses on Heidegger’s untranslated essay titled “Über die Sixtina.”
